Disabled veterans are some of the most patriotic, selfless people in the country, and it is imperative that we show them our gratitude by expanding programs like these and supporting veterans in any way we can. As a veteran myself, I was proud to co-sponsor this bill!
Stopped by Meadowlark Cafe for a delicious blueberry scone, and I noticed they are hosting flea market today until 5pm, with an after party with live music from 6-9pm.

Rep. Munroe and other members of the Bucks County Democratic Committee House Delegation put together a petition urging PECO to withdraw its proposed rate increase before the Public Utility Commission. Today, Governor Josh Shapiro announced the effort was a success — meaning no hikes on electricity and natural gas bills from PA's largest utility company for 1.7 million residents in our region!
My mom and I signed that petition!

So a big deal is being made now of PECO withdrawing their latest request to the PUC for a rate increase – this one double digits. 💰But how long will it be before PECO and other electrical and water utilities make other requests given the proposed massive buildout of AI data centers? 📌 Instead of patting themselves on the back for stopping this attempt to gouge ratepayers , our governor and state legislators should be putting the brakes on data center development. 🔴 They should also do something about the way too cozy relationship between the PUC and the utilities they regulate,approving harmful rate increases despite huge profits. For example, up until the time he was appointed to the PUC, the current chair, Stephen Defrank was a registered lobbyist for PECO, PA American Water, EQT and other oil and gas corporations. These appointments to the PUC are made by the governor. It should not be okay to be choosing them from the very industries that they regulate. Where is the public in the PUC?
